Teachers Certified as Project WILD Facilitators

TecH₂O hosted a Project WILD facilitators’ workshop, where 14 local educators were certified as facilitators in September. Facilitated by Texas’s Project Wild Coordinator Kiki Corry and EPWater Conservation Technician April Thoreson, the Project WILD program provided bilingual curriculum guides and professional development to help teachers engage students in lessons around taking care of wildlife and the environment.

Explore Fossils at Mt. Cristo Rey: Insights El Paso and Celebration of our Mountains will host an event on the exploration of fossils! Over 30 types of trace fossils have been discovered and researched by your guide at Mt. Cristo Rey. Boo at the Zoo: The city will host Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 27 and 28 from 10 a.m-6 p.m. for a day of Halloween fun!  Kids should come in costume! For more information visit the El Paso Zoo Website
