Certified Water Partner Program Takes Off
Posted on 08/03/2018

TecH₂O Center staff have recognized more than 50 restaurants as Certified Water Partners, and 28 of those were recognized in 2018.  The Certified Water Partner program was created to help raise the bar on commercial conservation and give recognition to businesses that have model practices.  Restaurants were the first commercial sector of focus for the program. TecH2O conservation technicians have performed water audits of dozens of restaurants across El Paso, inspecting efficiency of water-using fixtures and identifying potential areas of excessive consumption.  Of all the restaurants audited this year, the Shack Wings & Brews on N. Zaragoza scored the best. This earned them the distinction as the 2018 Conservation Hero.  Read more about this year’s Conservation Hero here, and learn more about the Certified Water Partner here.
